Alrite guys,

Little question... managed to remove old CD player last night (kenwood one), after dismanteling the centre console :p - however I am trying to connect a new Pioneer unit and do not have the correct wiring block to do this - does anyone know what I need (i.e. specific part name? description? or number?) - as was going to phone halfrauds but dont really know what to ask for.

Its a 2002 MR-S btw.
Cheers

unless your lucky enough to find a Toyota to Pioneer loom, you will need 2 pieces

1. Toyota to ISO loom
2. ISO to Pioneer loom

Nah you still need the iso->pioneer one;

unless of course your Pioneer has an iso connector?

QuoteThis adaptor is required to replace factory fitted radio with an aftermarket headunit (Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, JVC etc.). It will convert the car original power and speakers wiring connector to a standard ISO connector.

you need one from this page:
 m http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... looms.html m

unless one came with the hu.

Lol I'm not to sure, the unit came with wiring that plugs into the back of unit, and the other end is a big black connector which looks like it would accept the connection shown in the pic for the adaptor on the website. The guys emailed me asking to send some photos of these, then order tomorrow.

But he's asked the the MR-S is an amplified system - which Im not too sure about, all I know is it had a CD player, 2 door speakers and 2 tweeters  s:) :) s:)

My recent pioneer HU came with a connector that went from the HU >             BLANK                         < Then i had the original ISO connector i disconnected from the standard HU so just had to fill in the blank...

you need the PC2-17-4 cable, just run a search for this on fleabay or on google really i guess.

PC2-17-4 Toyota MR2 MR2 Roadster Paseo Picnic ISO Lead

Then i just plugged it in to the blank area, connect the HU block and the standard block on either end and hey presto!   s8) 8) s8)

Easy! Did a ton of searching on here to get the code/details - worked first time!
