New MR2 Roadster owner here, got it yesterday and so far am thrilled with it. Year 2000, 82K, Full Toyota service history, Black with red cloth interior, Hard Top and A/C, Paid £2900 at auction.

I have trawled the first 10 pages of this section about fitting a new single din head unit. There seems to be conflicting information about how to do this on a 2000 model. I have searched Google and Ebay and all the kits I can find all say 2002 - 2004 model. Can someone give me the definitive answer as to what I need to fit a single din HU in place of the standard Sony WX C507R ?

THis is what I found on Ebay but it says 2002-2004 - I really cant find one with 2000.

Don't hold me to it, but I think you should be fine with this - I don't think there is any appreciable difference in this regard between the pre/post-facelift models. Have a read through the thread JiMR2 has suggested to get an idea of the layout of things. Just be aware that the poster of the aforementioned thread was starting without any stereo fitted; much of the bracketry mentioned is already supplied with the OEM stereo, which I imagine you already have.
