Another hardtop thread

I bought my 2 last april, and regreat not buying a hard top.  I get conflicting views from the dealer on whether I can now buy one.  

I have looked on Japanparts and have recieved a quote of £2000 for the part (just top) and shipping.  i dont think it comes with the fittings but then I dont actually know.  

Has anyone imported a top?  If so, where from and how much.  Has anyone ordered the top from Mr T or one of their great dealers?

I looked into importing hardtop through same source it's not really viable. I believe it does include all fitting kit including panels though.
You will need to add duty and VAT to the total cost. From memory 4.5% duty and obviously 17.5% VAT!
MrT won't entertain getting you a top, as their standard line is "it's not possible to retro-fit a hardtop".
In the end I bought secondhand. Will be getting it re-sprayed over the summer to correct colour.

just buy one second hand - even paying overpriced ebay rates will be cheaper than importing one.
