Anyone know where the fuse for the alarm is situated?

I posted something about this the other day on Jims thread but i wanted to make sure i was going crazy before i pushed for some advise.

I used to set the alarm and put my hand in the car and it would go off. Now this doest seem to work. I even got in the car through the window and sat in the drivers seat and still nothing. Light is flashing as it should under the blower speed dial and the right hand light is on under the passenger window blocker switch.

Ive even got in the car when locked and opened the door and nothing  s:( :( s:(

This worries me somewhat with my little incident with my satnav being stolen the other day. Ive tried turning up the device behind the drivers seat and it hasnt made a difference. Anyway the box hasnt been touched so this shouldnt matter anyway.

Any ideas?

Have you read through one of the many TSS setting guides. Like  m http://rav4faq.kerkerinck.de/allgemeine ... elgium.pdf m

I think it originates from a Toyota web site so mods should approve.

I got so far and i couldnt get the led to flash.

Ive had a brain block. Once youve locked the car does the led light on the right flash eventually?

The alarm is plugged in and the wiring is ok under the frunk yes?
Sorry obvious question I know but they did break into the car, who knows if they tinkered anywhere else?

Interesting.... my right hand side led light stays on a solid red. I wonder what that means?

The alarm wiring under the funk was one of the first things i checked. Im 100% sure that nothing would have been messed with when it was broken into/the car entered. They only opened the doors and glove box to loot my satnav

Sorted!!!   s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:

For anyone else who has this problem......

The bonnet and boot lid have switches on them. These switches sit on a metal plate and these plates do bend. My bonnet metal plate had bent down meaning there was no connection. I bent the plate back up, the connection made on closure and all is good  s:) :) s:)

Nice one! That's easily done, so a good thing to check for.

I could certainly do with knowing where the fuse for the alarm is located, no manual with the car! The alarm is going off every time I lock the car. I've disconnected the sounder but I need to stop the flashing lights else I'll have a flat battery or an unlocked car!

Probably so. UK alarms were apparently fitted on importation.
