WHAT FUN !!!!

Coming back from Braintree today, had a black 2 in front of me, and then a Silver 2 came in a made up the convoy behind me.  Travelled like this all the way to Chelmsford.  All of us pushing the roundabouts and keeping in perfect formation.

Hit one roundabout and the silver behind got stuck behind a slow, I did hazzards, he burned the other car off and flashed.   Finnaly at the springfield roundabout the black when straight, we went right to Chelmsford and the Silver pulled up next to us to turn left.  Everyone waved.

Now hows that for a really nice mini-meet on-route.  I reckon I am going to get an MR2ROC stick in my rear view mirror, that way if this happens again, they know I have nuff respect.

Certainly gave the Celica a nice old test. And to be fair, we held our own...even left the rear silver a couple of times...have to admit, he bottled it as I followed the black overtaking just before a roundabout...ouch.

It's funny, 'cos as we came behind you I said to Claire "I wonder if... what was his reg again? I know it's 04, but what's it end with...?", and about 20 secs after that you 'winked', and that's when I flashed!

And just for the record, I didn't bottle it the roundabout, the missus did, and the earache just wouldn't have been worth it!   s:twisted: :twisted: s:twisted:   Caught up with you in the end though, didn't I?!   s:lol: :lol: s:lol:

To be fair if I am honest, I sh&t myself when I followed the black one overtaking just before that roundabout, I only just made it. Dont blame you for sitting behind that shed that got in the way...oh and DID I get ear ache for doing it   s:cry: :cry: s:cry:  

What fun.  I thought the black one was someone here, but I dont think it was...still they (couple) seemed up for it though   s:lol: :lol: s:lol:  

Good to see you, we are both still laughing at when you pulled up next us grinning from ear to ear.  It was nice to see that the Celica handles not bad on the roundabouts, we have just hit 1000 miles in her, filled her with optimax...and VVTI'ed her a bit. (yep more ear ache - "the engine smells funny").

I must admit, I was quite impressed at how well the Celica went, as well. I thought I'd have been all over you: at least, that was the aim...   s:oops: :oops: s:oops:    s:D s:D  


Saw quite a few 2's driving about Chelmsford today actually, and I made the effort to wave or flash all of them, although the missus didn't quite understand why I was 'waving to complete strangers'!   s:lol: :lol: s:lol:

Speaking as someone who was "stuck" behind the silly-car for a while at the great Treasure Hunt - I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the way it was going! Mind you, I believe the missus was driving? - nuff said (respec' Kirstie!  s:wink: :wink: s:wink:  )

Its in no way the 2, but now its run in, its certainly standing up to be a nice comprimise.  I have to admit, I am not as eager to throw it round corners as the 2, but its handled well so far.  I certainly has a kick when it needs it, as you probably saw.  I know at one point you wanted past, but I wasnt sure what the black was doing, so I sat on his ass - I think that was the roundabout incident    s:shock: :shock: s:shock:  

Today was a nice little test of its abilities   s:lol: :lol: s:lol:  Brakes arn't anything as good as the 2 though, my late braking today poo'ed me a couple of times.   s:oops: :oops: s:oops:  

Hey Sandi, yep Kerstie was driving at the TH, she is just as happy to hammer it too.   s:D s:D  

Still think that is SO COOL, that today came together and it was someone from the club.   s8) s8)
