Sound System Upgrade

Hi All,

I'm looking to upgrade my sound system.

In my Toyota MR-S they don't come with tweeters as standard. I didn't want the hassle of fitting component speaks so thinking about other options.

Would upgrading the door speaking to better quality 16.5cm speakers be any better? Maybe changing them to 3 way speakers?

I'm planning to fit some 6x9 speaks in the rear compartment doors. Is this a good thing to do? I have searched on here and not many people have done this. I think it could sound quite good. I'm on a tight budget so a sub installation is out of the question. I would like to spend no more than £60-70.


A local car audio specialist recommended that I fitted the 6x9s. They said not to have an amp to start off with.

Anyones input would be great.

fitting components with tweeters is easier than adding 6x9s

Ok.

I just never really have understood how to set them up. Can I use the existing wiring from front speakers?

I'll have a look using the search function on how people have done this.

existing wires to crossovcer that comes with them, new wires from crossover to ytweeter and from crossover to woofer
