key battery (replace)

any info on the following will be helpfully.
 
what are the signs of needing a new key battery.
is it as simple to do or will it require setting from Mr T.
best place to get one from and how much.

You can get the battery from Ebay,car spares shops,Tesco's etc,just unscrew the fob and pop the new one in unless it has been well dead for a while.

As Brian said easy to pick up at numerous places, just make sure you get a known brand and don't go to Mr.T.

Best place for batteries in my opinion is Battery Force - I get all my batteries from them!  For the CR1616 (key fob battery) see  m http://www.battery-force.co.uk/searchresults.html m  you will find that you can get them for just over a quid each!
