Headlights off and stereo switches off

I have just switched my headlights off and the stereo has switched itself off and then back on again. I have repeated this several times. I am assuming it's something to do with the back light on the stereo as it changes brightness when the lights are switched on and off. Has anyone cone across this before or aware of a fix?

Did the HU actually turn off as in stopped making music or just the display went off?  Is it a stock fisher price unit or an aftermarket?

Its the stock unit, it switched off totally and the aerial came down. Its something to do with the stereo back light i think.

Solved the problem, I had a blown head light bulb. As soon as I changed the bulb the stereo started to behave. Don't understand why but to prove it I took the bulb back out and it started playing up again.
