I have been speaking with a company who currently make custom sub enclosures for mk2 mr2 and they have kindly offered me a "FREE" sub box if I was to drive to them so they could use my car as a template. Unfortunately as I live down south its not a trip I fancy making for a sub enclosure.
After getting permission from the owner of the company he has asked me to offer it out to the MR2 roc
I'm pretty sure he will be able to make a 8" or 10"

So if anyone is interested in this generous offer please PM me and I will forward your details

Once the first enclosure is made he said we could do a group buy

Prices and spec to follow......

Also forgot to say he is an affiliated trader on IMOC  s;) ;) s;)

I dont really need a box but im relatively close and they could possibly use my car.

Do you want to send me the details and we can see how things would work?

Hi Steve / Nathan

Just thought it might be worth quickly introducing myself on here!

As discussed with Nathan i started making sub boxes for the mk1 and mk2 around 6 years ago, though stopped for the last few years due to other work commitments and losing access to my workshop.  A few months ago i decided to pick this up again, though concentrating on the design of the box, and outsourcing production to a company with CNC facilities, ensuring all boxes are accurate and airtight, and in all honesty quality has improved.

I have owned MR2s (lots of them) for 10 years now (though no roadsters   s:oops:  s:oops:  ) including prestine mk1s, a genuine mk2 TRD2000GT that was on the cover of MR2only and currently a mk1 that i have been building for a few years, running c. 400hp with a 3SGTE and compete in the toyota sprint series.

Hopefully price wise will be similar to my mk2 boxes (nothing in comparison to other custom enclosures!)

I am obviously happy to sort affiliate status here, so will pick that up with the relevant people over christmas once i have the template and CAD drawing sorted, and can put together a price and lead time on a group buy.

Hopefully this will be of interest to members here and if anyone has any suggestions, would be gratefully recieved!

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil.

You finally left the DC then. I would let you use mine but you would need to come to the garage as it's laid up for the winter.

You doing Tatton again ????

Postcode had been misunderstood at some point, Nathan had cv12 when it's cw12, would mean another 1 1/2 hours driving for Nathan, so looks like rob's kind offer may be best option!

Going to invest in a cubby hole door as have an idea to incorporate that...

Rob, if you could pm me you mob number will give you a bell, will definately be at tatton having missed last 2 shows with my car not ready!

Any progress on the sub box ..?

Neil was supposed to ring me, but I'm still waiting, so I'm not sure what is going on.

I'm sure he's busy at the moment and will get in touch when the time is right.
