Have just had another experience of the "flat battery"! having not used the car for 2 weeks!!
What do you users of the Odyssey battery find with leaving them for 2 or 3 weeks? Do they last, or are they worse then the standard battery when left standing?
My battery is just under 2 years old, yet I had this problem last winter too. I leave the car in a locked garage without the alarm on and car unlocked, so what eats the battery?

ECU, Stereo, clock, central locking receiver.......... the list goes on for items that are draining the battery all the time.

You have a battery with less than 1/4 of the total capacity of a normal battery - it's not surprising it goes flat. If you are leaving the alarm switched off then why not just disconnect and remove the battery - it should really be in the house on a trickle charger anyway.

No- misunderstood me!
I have a standard battery. Wondering what users of the Odyssey battery find regards holding charge after a period of standing? Are they any better?
The garage has no power supply and I'm fed up with re-programming radio and clocks every time I take it off to re-charge.
Got a CTek Zafir 90 charger which rescues the battery each time, but why are our batteries so poor compared to every other car I own and have owned?

I'd run the engine once or twice a week. Good for the battery, good for the engine, good for getting rid of moisture.
Ezekiel 23:20 "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses"

I bought a "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine" to lose weight. I put on five stone. I blame the delicious gravy it makes.

Just replaced my battery just before christmas, it was the original Panasonic as supplied in the car. In six years I have only had to charge the battery once and that was in the nasty cold spell of Dec 2010. The battery finally gave up and I replaced it with another Mr T. The battery was almost 11 years old not bad. These days the car doesnt get used much unless its out at weekends so in all never had a problem until recently. I suspect your battery is on its way out now.
