I was trying to jumpstart the mk1 tonight using the roadster, I had the window open and shut the engine off when removing the leads.

then I realized the driver window was stuck open, I had no indicators, the dash lights no longer work and I have no p/steering.  also the central locking is not working now.

Will this be a fuse and if so can anyone tell me where to look as I don't have a handbook   s:cry:  s:cry:

thanks

Open the passenger door, the fuse box is on the end of the dash, just pull thelittlecover off, there is a little sticker saying what fuse does what, sounds like a main fuse though if all those faults are occurring, in that case open the back up, (the engine cover) and check the fuses in that fuse box, very left of the engine bay, can't miss it. Good luci

Theoretically, you should not use a vehicle with a computer box (injected vehicle) to jump another car.
The fluctuation in current can blow the ECU  s:crazyeyes:  s:crazyeyes:
(hopefully this is not what happened in your case. Hopefully its just a fuse.)
Its not your top speed that counts but how quick u get to it...

Probably cheaper and quicker than Postman Pat to grab one from your local Mr T.
If a call to them provides no joy, come back and Ill have a ratch.
