After MOT...........

Well, car passed its second MOT, but was told that, although he let it go, the near side rear handbrake was short of legal requirement. He said it was only JUST under, but would need to be adjusted all the same. But not a huge problem. I live in Anglia. Where are the hills?  s:wink:  s:wink:    s:lol:  s:lol:

BUT, he did say, although legal, with plenty of meat on them, the tyres had excessive wear on the inside. Is this common? He reckoned the tracking was out, but I said I had had it 4 wheel aligned no more than a year ago, so its a little disconcerting. Is the 2 known for this? Do I actually NEED to get the wheels aligned again? I had a look at the tyre (sorry, no pics) and I have to say it really is quite badly worn on the inside treat to the point there is a marked "step" from the central blocks to the inner ones. The rest of the tyre is fine.

Running on the original Bridgies, so any advice would be welcome.

alignment is alwats a compromise between best tyre wear and best handling.

If your happy with the way it drives I'd leave it alone.

Heh heh.........think that is what I am going to sort soon. The drive is actually very good, but with the inside of the tyre as it is, I think a new set is on its way...............Proxes here I come...........
