ecu blown? Help me please!!!

Having done this on the past swapping the transponder is All you need to do, to make the new ecu work

Cheers Mark, we guessed that was the case but he wanted the whole key so sent out the whole key on a return basis, just gutted it didnt turn up today

Does seam a bit heartless now after all this I will be putting her up for sale   s:( :( s:(

Just bumping this old thread back up, as my daughter has found my unichip in the loft, and is thinking of putting it into her mr-s. I don't know if it works,or if an mr-s ecu is even the same as it doesn't have immobiliser or post cat sensors, are the connectors even the same in an mr-s. But it will be something we'll have a look at, even if i need to get a spare ecu with a key from a friendly breaker. Keep the old tech going!

Can't imagine it won't work.
All it connects to are maf,TPS, rpm,injectors and ignition.
Unless the unichip is much more involved
