And iv had a little look in the at but cannot seem to find how to remove the standard unit...   s:? :? s:?  Does anyone have any photos or advice on how to remove it?

D!cks post in this thread advises how to remove the plastic 'legs' and surround of the standard unit  l viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37231&p=444148&hilit=+stereo#p444148 l

It really isnt that difficult to do just be careful and take your time and it should be ok

I fitted a Sony xplod bluetooth stereo to my pre facelift car and the connector which fits into the original sony double din lump fitted straight into the back of the single din xplod unit and everything worked as it should but the only way to be sure is to take it out and check. - just remember to switch the traffic announcement off on the new unit to make sure the aerial goes down when the radio is not in use.

If you have a facelift 'fisher price' unit I think you will need an iso lead but have never removed one so cant be sure. Facelift details here  l viewtopic.php?f=47&t=17670 l

Good luck
