Hey guys, I'm about to buy a new stereo and I'm not sure what face plate I need, reading through these forums only confuses me more. Is it right that the pre face lift and post face lift need different stereo face plates?

I have an 04 post face lift (the one with the six speed and fog lights) and I need a face plate for a single din stereo, does anyone know which one I need?

It's only the surround that is different, you can use the surround off of your existing facelift stereo. There isn't a difference between the single din converter for the facelift and the older car so you'll be fine. I literally took mine out of my old car and put it in the facelift so they're definitely the same, ended up buying a new one and putting it back in the old car so they're definitely the same!

Ah great, so I'll be fine with this then? http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/autoleads-fp1103-toyota-mr2-roadster-previa-rav-facia-panel-adaptor-p-9511.html

Yeah I think that's the one most people use, mine was from eBay for similar price but came with the required ISO lead (not sure if the one above comes with one or not?).

The Sony stereo should come with an 'ISO to Sony' lead in the box but you need a 'Toyota to ISO' lead to plug in to the car in order for this to fit. If you look on eBay some of the fascia converters come with the Toyota to ISO lead included (£12.95 ish for the cheapest - I think this is the one I bought) or the leads on their own are a few pounds.
