the dark green ones I like, except for the small fact that they remind me of MG's.

To be honest, if I were buying one now, and wasn't allowed another red one, I'd have the lagoon blue.  I really like that colour.

anyway i'm still haveing trouble getting a decent price for the car.
10% off list has been my best offer. that still makes it over 17k.
although drive the deal are quoteing 16.9k. has anyone bought from them?

If i work this out right, £15800 for a roadster (we know you can get them for that from the dealer easy) + £900 AC + £500 leather = £17200

I would say to the dealer if they can do it for £17k and throw in a tank of petorl and mr2 mats then they have a deal... see what they say. if its no, then go to another dealer.

According to Toyota website there are 8 dealers in your surrounding area. I'm sure that you can get the car you want below £17k. It's just a case of fronting it out. When you are ready to place the order travel from one to the other until you get your price. They will not want to miss out on your money for the sake of £200-300.
When I bought mine the dealer I had the test drive with said thats the best price you will get anywhere. I went back with a cheaper price from an alternative dealer and the sales manager said "I cannot match that". The next day after I had placed the order with the alternative dealer they called me and said "okay we'll do it". I advised they had missed the order and they suggested me cancelling saying they would knock a further £100 off to make it worth my while.
Front them out and you will get the car you want at the price you want.

I took delivery of my '04 Sable in March, and yes the number being sold did put me off a bit. But my part-x Celi was Lagoon Blue (which I also liked) but wanted a different colour for a change.

The problem with the blue (and I guess the green too) is it shows up every stone chip, minor scratch and "polish swirls". The sable (like the silver) looks like it will disguise minor marks much better so got my vote. As for green, I just don't like it on a car, sorry.

With no part-x you should be able to get 10% off list, go in towards the end of the month as some claim they are more likely to do a deal to hit their monthly targets, and just play it cool.   s8) 8) s8)

Green or sable..two colours I would never have pickeed from the brochure in a million years...but look absolutely stunning in the flesh. Leachim's Green car really surprised me.

If I was to buy another, I think that I would probably go for a sable with the red roof, or a red one with a silver hardtop like Roadsterman.  My Girlfriend constantly asks why I didn't go for red.....

...and then i said you know why!   s:wink:  s:wink:   Only joking Reds great.

Visit dealer around between the second and third week of the month.  This is the time when they have a feel if they are going to make their monthly sales target.

A dealer told me this when I asked for a large discount on an MR2 towards the end of April (27th).  He said they might be able to offer the discount I wanted if they were behind their target.  However, by the 27th it was too late as they have to be able to order the the car and sell it before the end of the month.

I spoke to Drive the deal and they confirmed the price was from a UK dealer but I would need to complete an order (minus credit card details) to find out more information such as delivery times, costs for dealer fit options, etc.

Personally I would be very happy with that price, but try Steven Eagells in MK as they have told me they will price match anyone. Mention that I told you this as I only enquired last week. They're demonstrator is in the green which I think is probably my favourite colour. It looks really good in the flesh  s:shock:  s:shock:  Take a drive down this weekend as the weather is bad, but ring to make sure the green 2 is there. When I get home I will look as I believe we were given some discount vouchers when we bought our motor; Kris will verify this. I got a 9% discount but now feel that I did not try hard enough  s:cry:  s:cry:
