JVC KW XR411 Double DIN - USB?

I've just installed this but can't seem to get any USB drives to work with it, loaded with MP3 files.. I have tried an 8GB 'Busbi' drive and a 32GB PNY... has anyone any success? Is there a GB limit for this particular model.. and can I connect an external HDD?

Iwould also liken answer to this as i have the exact same hu with this problem!

i got mine for £90 5 months ago but the garage i bought the car from paid for it as the original stereo was broken, so i dont feel too bad!
I will have to try the usb again then and possibly have a fiddle around with settings.  s:) :) s:)
