Engine shuddering, malfunction indicator light on, speedo to

In fifth at 70 the speedo goes to zero & the engine shudders then both recover, this happened twice recently, this morning same happened but malfunction indicator light came on, it recovered after 5 mins.

Does anyone know what this is and can anyone recommend a garage who knows MR2s within range of Newbury or Tetbury pls

To start don't drive it until the code read. I think uktotty around that area he might be able to get the code read then we can advise from there. But in my opinion its always good to know the error code before going to the garage I case they try and rip you off.
