I have an import MR-S.  I am trying to fit my facelift rear lights, but two of the bulb holders don't fit into the sockets.  Is there a new loom that I can buy?  Or any other suggestions.

Loom in pre facelift

Loom in facelift (notice bottom right and top left don't fit)

Also, one of my looms are different.  On the driver side it has a red wire attached.  Anyone know what this is?  The passenger side loom is the one I have taken off and is shown in the pics above.  It does not have this red wire.

I got the new indicators with my FL lights from the previous person and spliced them on. Yes the FL indicator bulb holders are smaller (whether import or not), you're probably best getting the looms from a breakers.

The red wire is the fog light, they aren't on imports so have to be added on import for UK regs.

I managed to source what must be a facelift loom. But I only have one.  So I'm good for the passenger side (I think).

But I'm not sure what is going on with the driver side.  Fog light isn't working at all nor does the inside light where the fog light wire is spliced into.  Where are the fog lights supposed to be?  And is it only one side?  Which fuse is it?

I only had a fog on the driver's side on my import so can't help I'm afraid.

Darned annoying.  I have two old looms and have found one plug for the bottom right hole, but the top left (indicator) is still missing!

Are you usign a FL UK loom, that will have the fog built in so probably isn't working as the wiring is different? You might be best off just splicing the indicator bulb holder onto your old loom and leaving the fog light where it was.

Been working a lot lately so didn't have time to continue with this.  But today I'm back on it.  Still stuck lol

I have a UK facelift loom for driver side.  All plugs now fit.  But not all lights are working.

OK, I'm understanding this better now.  I have to splice the fog light into my new loom.  However I don't want to copy what has already been done as it takes away the inside red light.  What has been done is not actually a proper fog light.  I would like to install a proper fog light into the facelift lights.  Is this possible and how have people gone about it?

Put your fog light to the o/s reverse light and buy a red 21w bulb down side to that iss you only have one reverse light on the n/s

Fixed.  It was quite a bit of messing about.  Had to cut parts from the old loom and splice onto new loom and trim off bits of the plastic connector.  I understand how it works now with the dual filament bulbs and three wire connectors etc....  Would never have solved it if it wasn't for a mate coming over and doing it for me.

Rear looks a lot better now
