Hi!

I'm trying to install a radio from a 2012 Rav 4 into my MR2 MK3.

The original radio is the oem 58806 model. Connected from the car brings the pins marked in red:

The new radio unit is a Panasonic 86120-0R130 from a 2012 EEUU Rav4:

With the connectors of the car I only can connect 2:

With this, the radio comes on but no sound...
Anyone know what is wrong with it?
The adaptation of the connectors CN700 and CN702 of the car to plug into the radio?

Thanks

Hi Jose!

Not much use really but these days you can usually just buy an adaptor off ebay or Amazon but you need to know which one.
There are others with a lot more expertise who will be along.

I struggled with a radio swop on a Beemer which ended up as an adaptor fix.
Ex.MR2 SMT sadly missed.

There's a 3rd connector hidden under the carpet that has to be connected to the Toyota OEM head units. It's not used when utilising an adaptor loom with the original Sony H/U (or other non-OEM unit)

Finally the problem is that the mute pin of the radio coincided with the activation of antenna in the connector of my car.
With one antenna adaptor the problem was solved.

For the activation of the bluetooth was necessary to connect a microphone.

Finally working...
