I'm planning on soundproofing the doors when I update my speaker, is this the flashing tape mentioned in previous posts?

Thanks in advance

Yup. I bought mine from Wickes, albeit a few years ago, so I assume it hasn't changed.

Seem to recall i bought the 15cm wide one. It was enough to do both the entire doors and stick some to the backs of the door cards too  s;) ;) s;)

Indeed, they had x10cm and x15cm. I ended up using a roll and a half of 10cm as I thought it would be easier to apply but 1x 15cm would've done both doors.

Yep, the width doesn't really matter, it will all do the job.

Hi Steve,

Its a bad time of year to do this job mind.  It won't stick well in the cold at all and the last thing you want is it peeling off and fouling the window mech.

If you have a nice warm garage you'll be okay, but still roll it out in strips on a warm surface first to get it tacky.

+1, I did mine on a warm day in summer so had no problems as it was nice and tacky (yes there was a few of those  s:) :) s:) )

Alternatively, you could also use a hair dryer to warm it up.

I thought the same about the cold but the car is in a fairly warm garage and I will be using a hair dryer.
May have to put of till nxt week as speakers haven't turned up yet. There is still a possibility they might be delivered tomorrow morning

That's what I did, I did mine in late February outside so pretty cold still, attached it to the car while it was cold so the tack was low making it easier to put in place and then ran a hair dryer over it to warm it up and help it bond.

That's not worth it, the stuff from wickes is twice as wide 15cm and is less than double the price

15cm x 10m is £15.88  m http://www.wickes.co.uk/hi-tack-flashin ... vt/243010/ m  - it did used to be around the £13 mark though
10cm x 10m is £12.28  m http://www.wickes.co.uk/hi-tack-flashin ... vt/243009/ m  - so only 2.5cm wider but over double the price
