Replacement engine 1992 MR2

Hi Ya'll.  Do any members know if any other Toyota engines will easily fit in the 1992/3 MR2?  My ladyfriend has had the engine blow-up.  She absolutely adores the car and does not want to send it to the breakers.  Failing that, any suggestions on where a decent engine may be sourced from a reliable person or business.  Thank you for looking.  David

Your not really in the right place mate, this is the mk3 club, urs is a mk2.  However I know the turbo engine and the camry v6 engines are common swaps so good luck

As above ,join the mr2 owners club or imoc ,both are more suited to the MK2

plenty of engines or breakers about ,all depends on budget and what you need ,
would you upgrade to the later spec engine for example or even go turbo
whereabouts in Leicester are you ?
