Potential Leather Armrest GB

Folks, I've now recieved a few inquiries about leather armrests, and I'm gauging interest in another GB.

I could also offer gear stick gaiters, but this would involve you sending me your existing stock ones as we would need the metal wire from the bottom of it to sew into the new gaiter.

Prices as per this thread, with the gaiters around the £20 mark. The shipping prices are considerably less – these prices are to send to the States.

As far as colours go, it is impossible to match individual's colours (unless you send me your seat!) and the upholsterer's can only purchase leather by half hides minimum (I know, I had to buy half a hide of red for £55). So black is the safest bet although coloured stitching is a possibility.

To save some cash you can send me your existing door armrests to have them leathered. This saves me having to buy them from Toyota (at £15 each!) and so saves you £30. Toyota are also extremely unreliable at getting these – last time I had to wait nearly 2 months to get them.

Let me know if you're interested – the club will receive a donation from the proceeds. I also hope that I can get a glovebox/cowl leathered – I already have the leather – I would just have to pay for labour. That is all the profit I make on these – practically nothing! The prices are immovable – it's what I get charged.

If this takes off I'll start a new post in Buying/Selling.

What about the center console armrest? That is more of a wish than the side ones - altough I would probably have the lot minus gaiter.

I actually get the centre ones made – in leather. They're a doddle to fit and are hinged at the back to allow access to the cubbies underneath.  s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

I'll collect monies within a couple of weeks. Then about a month after that. If I have to buy door armrests from Mr T then those people will probably experience delays.  s:roll: :roll: s:roll:  Toyota aren't very speedy.

For everyone else who is thinking about the door armrests, I bought a set a while ago & they do look the business, don't forget that if you are keeping your existing plastic ones, the leather versions can be sold SHOULD you decide to trade in. It's a 2 minute job to switch them over  s:D s:D
