Does anyone know the difference between this and a non solo B2?

The only mention of it I can find on the origin web site is in the products page:

QuoteOrigin b2 solo
Latest Origin GPS product

MNC group sell them (at a £70 premium) and their description states:

QuoteOrigin B2 Solo

NEW! Same as the B2 but better The Origin b2 has many unique and patent protected features.

Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to buy a B2 if the solo is a lot better.

As a long running fan of the Origin products, this looks good, especially as I will be buying a second car in the next couple of months and need another B2

Hi,

Spoke to the owner of the company at the motor show.....

The Solo is has an integrated GPS Receiver.

The Normal one has one that is on a rarther long lead.

The benefit is movement from one vehicle to another like the Geodesy, but if you not planning to move it once installed go for the standard one.

Best pirce we got at the motorshow was £360 all in from a authorised dealer.

Best wishes

As I already have the B2 in one car, and will need another in a second car when we purchase, I may as well get the solo, as they are the same price.

It also doesnt make too much sense, as you can buy a second car kit for £100 notes.

I recon its aimed more at the prestigious cars that dont want cables all over the shop.

They sell a second car kit for the solo for 100 notes.

MNC sell the B2 @ 359 and the solo @ 429, so it might be more expensive all round.

The Price was the same for both at the motorshow £360 for either.

The solo has only just come out, but they both do the exact same thing.

THe guy did warn us that if you have a vehicle with a heated front screen then you may be better going for the original, avoiding any problems with satellite reception.

Looks quite need the solo, the antenna stick up about 2-3 cm above the unit, that really the only visual difference.

Cheers
