What to look for?

Hi all,

I'm looking at a 2000 mr2 and want to know what to look for regarding common problems, faults and such...

Also, can you tell an import from a UK model by the chassis number? If so, how?

What else should I be made aware of?

Thanks for your replies, I did do a search but it didn't bring up anything of use apart from reading the aforementioned sticky.  Coley - I read the post you suggested already but it didn't have any useful info other than trim queries.  Cheers anyway though.

I went out and bought a 2000/X MR2 in black.  We were looking at MX5's and IS200's too but finally decided on an MR2.  We weren't that impressed by the MX5s and while the IS is a great car we thought we'd go for a roadster instead this time around.

I have to agree with roadsterman, sold my IS for a MR2. IS was the second best car I have owned, guess what the best is   s:twisted: :twisted: s:twisted:    s:twisted: :twisted: s:twisted:    s:twisted: :twisted: s:twisted:
