Car has only been in country for 2 months.

Yes folks - you read correctly! Sadly my car was stolen from the car park of my apartment complex this morning at approx 4:30 am!! I heard my blow off valve going off - ran to the window and it was no longer there - I had only gotten home about 20 mins prior to this! I live in the Docklands / Canning Town (E. London) area.

Luckily, I was up when it happened and phoned the police right away, I could even still hear it ripping going down the road as I dialled. Went down to the station and filed a report etc.

Please, please, please, please keep and eye out for it - I know of people who have recovered stolen vehicles by putting the word out via email and online forums - please circulate this message to all forums regardless of make, and category of car - the car was an absolute beauty, I searched for almost a year in Japan to find it and now it is gone after a few weeks!! Pussyhoooooolllleeeesss!!!! (Sorry guys - it had to be said!!)

I am posting a pic of the car for a visual aid.

I know this is a veeerrrryyy long shot - but what the hell - what do I have to lose huh?!

it amazes me that trackers still arent fitted as standard. surely the governement can somehow persuade car manufactures to install these things in the factory. think how much our insurance companies would save = lower premiums for you!  s:wink:  s:wink:

Anyone catch SWAG - it is on Tuesdays I think.

They rig a car so when C**nts try and rob it it locks them in and does stuff like spray green paint on them. Reckon it should be a national initiative but swap the paint for some kind of deadly acid.

Bet car crime would drop like a bomb.

Good Point, however.

When I got the Celica, I was considering putting Tracker on it.  I spoke to Direct Line, and they where very shitty with me.  They said that as they had not asked for Tracker to be fitted, then there would be no discount.  They told me that they did not consider my car worthy of needing tracker as it was under £25k

Most of the direct/discount insurers aren't interested in Tracker, since they tend not to be interested in insuring high-risks that need them.

Of course, on the other end of the scale, cars that really do need a Tracker can only usually be insured via specialist brokers.

And in the middle, there are the likes of us, who don't need Tracker, but want it for peace of mind...

My mate, who has just bought the Cupra R (yep in black like yours) had tracker thrown in by Seat.  not sure if it did his insurance any good, but he is old anyway so insurance is nothing (450 or something).
