Hi there.

So I'm the first Italian mr2 turbo. Sounds nice doesn't it?  s8) 8) s8)   As a matter of fact the car needs remapping very bad   s:cry:  s:cry:    s:cry:  s:cry:  . The MWR maps are running like £*%£&.  s:evil:  s:evil:   Must be the fuel type or something.   s:roll:  s:roll:

Does anyone have some emanage maps ready to try? I'd rather try a few "european" maps before starting all over.

thanks!  s:wink:  s:wink:    s:wink:  s:wink:

Most likely...I got the MWR map when I bought the Datalogit and it wasn't usable. Then again, I only assumed it's just a great starting map for tuning, which it was  s8) 8) s8)

It shouldn't be too tough to finetune the MWR map to work for you either...
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Well in Italy we have a saying:

"mal comune mezzo gaudio"

which means that if your problems are common, then it's almost something to be happy about. Yes I know, it's not clear, whatever.  s:? :? s:?

Anyway, thanks. I hope my tuner will get comfortable with the software and make the car driveable.  s:roll:  s:roll:

So you do suggest to start from the MWR maps...  s:roll:  s:roll:

Well, I did. They weren't too far from good settings, so it was pretty easy to start with them. I think you'd have to do a lot more work, if you start with nothing  s8) 8) s8)

What other mods have you got? I have seen a couple of MWR maps now and they differ greatly. If you  have GTS injectors and some sort of cooling (ICorWI)then my map was created with my wideband and has now gone onto another PE turbo'd car with complete success.

I can email you the map if you need.

thanks mrs turbo!   s:) :) s:)

I only have the PE kit, the emanage and the greddy bov. I am installing today a boost gauge and a boost regulator tap (or whatever you call that in english, you know the thing with the knob you twist to increase boost).

So...I don't know if your maps would actually do but...it's easy to upload them...I might try! I assure you they can't be worse than what i have now!  s:? :? s:?    s:cry:  s:cry:    s:cry:  s:cry:

thanks!

Did you ever solve your problem? And if you did, how?

(I'm finding several similar posts by guys in Europe and starting to wonder if the US/EU have different size injectors)

He solved his problem by blowing his engine Tem  s:oops:  s:oops:

I think all the injectors are the same size. My correction factor in my e-manage is from 260cc to 330cc for the GTS injectors. I put my map after wideband tuning into Perrys e-manage with the same correction factor, and the wideband results were the same on his.

Note mine is a Jspec and his is a UK car, so if the injectors were different i'd expect a adjustment in the map would of been needed....Maybe  s:wink:  s:wink:

I did blow my engine...
  s:lol:  s:lol:    s:( :( s:(

well almost, i got a spun bearing...and I guess that could have happened on a non turboed car too...

finally the maps were good. Almost perfect. I had an other problem: an air temperature sensor broken. When I replaced it it was ok.

Now the problem is, my car is in the shop (one month now) waiting for some pieces. I might swap engine. I don't know.

Before I got the spun bearing, the car was bruning oil like crazy on the highway even at 60-80 mph.

Outlook not so good.

Thanks guys,   s:wink:  s:wink:

From the info you gave me when it happened, it does sound like the problem was caused by your pre-cats, before you removed them to go turbo. The damage was already done, it would of happened NA or turbo.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
