I think you can break the orange plastic through the light hole...
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

How long would you estimate the job taking from start to finish. i'm gonna give it a go but i'm just a bit worried about breaking something on one of the lights.

I'd set aside a whole afternoon & have help from another person.

As a side note.....I take it you know the bulbs are clear behind there & after removing the orange plastic lense you will be illegal  s:?: :?: s:?:

I'm going to get some orange bulbs and spray them silver keeping the car as legal as possible. I'll probably give it a go sometime next week as i've just had a look at the lights and it doesn't look as difficult as i first thought.

thanks for the help so far.

Yeah, looks crap.  s:wink:  s:wink:

Seriously, I wish Toyota had done this as standard. And I doubt that the new chromed lights are oven-proof...  s:evil:  s:evil:

Why not...? If you're afraid for the chrome, think about how hot it will get on a hot sunny summerday with lights on in crawling traffic.

Besides, if the chrome minds the oven, you can always get it painted in car color...I think that looks even better than the chrome (don't really like any chromestuff in newish cars anyway  s:? :? s:? ).

Try BMW Part Nr. 63 21 6 942 475 ; at the german MR2 Roadster Forum a guy told me, that would be 21W chromed bulbs (about 20 €  s:shock:  s:shock:  ). Please recognize, that I cant confirm that!

I think it´s not necessary, to get those bulbs, if you have removed the yellow plastic part, simple yellow bulbs are a great improvement...
