Electronic Dipping Rear View Mirror

I bought an electronic dipping mirror from a Ford Mondeo cheap from Ebay and a spare MR2 mirror to hack apart. I had to break the MR2 mirror glass to get inside to cut out the fitting that attaches to the windscreen, hammer and Stanley knife job and caution about cut fingers! The MR2 fitting has a die-cast end with a hole in it, just the right diameter for a red platsiplug with a little cut from the end to shorten it. Carefully get inside the Modeo unit (clips together unlike the sealed MR2 one) and remove the fitting that attaches to the windscreen (it unscrews) and replace with the MR2 fitting and a suitable self tapping screw (tighten fully as you don't want it to rotate). That is it! You will need earth, ignition positive and a feed from the lights if you want to restrict operation to night times, there are only three wires and a Google search will tell you which does what.
