forgotten key code

toyota have said as key left in car for long period the key code has been forgotten
they say something about joining two pin on the diagnostics imput will reset
any ideas and they where unsure which pins or is there another way? ta

I didn't realize they could forget.
Could always swap out the ECU, transponder and key insert (no need to change any locks)
Take about an hour to do
