Although I've still not collected my '2 yet I've been having thoughts about modifying the frunk release

Years ago a bought a kit from maplin to add remote central locking to my first car and managed to use one of the actuators to release the boot mechanism. I was wondering if anyone had attempted anything similar with the frunk on the 2 so you can use a fob to remotely pop it rather than having to open the glove box each time you want access ?

Unlike a boot it has a bonnet style catch, I'd be extremely nervous of accidently hitting the button whilst driving!

Could possibly have a switched power to stop it being functional when ignition is live ? Therefore no risk whilst moving

Placing the release button in the glovebox (ala the OEM release) would make accidental activation very unlikely.
If your Porsche is not anhydrous, there IS a substitute.

....but not very practical.

Unless I misunderstand you?
