Poor Reception - Noisy Ariel

Hi,

My car has a standard telescopic aerial, it seems to only get BBC radio 1 & 4, BBC Essex and Heart Ex. My girlfriend isn't pleased as she can't get kiss.

Is it normal that these aerials aren't the best, also do they normally clunk 3-4 times when they go up and down?

These instructions should show you if you have a bad earth or faulty aerial etc.

I've decided that playing with the aerial that makes the car look like a toy car is going to be a pain, I will look at getting an aftermarket stereo with a window aerial and probably get rid of the standard aerial.
