Hello All,
After finding my remote key was falling apart due to it being cracked around the screw, I purchased a blank key from amazon for £1.34 with the hopes of getting it cut and swapping the pcb.
Well after come on the slowest boat from china I measured it against the original and sure enough about 5mm to narrow.
Plan B take the back off the original and replace with back from cheapy china one..... Perfect fit!
No Toyota log (no bad thing) works A1 and cheap fix for £1.34

You needed the TOY41 blank.........these are good if you ever need another,Denso branded with Toyota embossed logo.....they had a piece of black tape over the logo so not sure if they were old stock or copies, they cut and work fine though.

Thanks for the link.
I'll see how the cheap fix last, certainly better than tank tape though.

It all depends which timpsons you go to.
We have 2 in town, 1 refused to cut mine because he sells the blanks. The other 1 did it for a couple of quid.
The Sun is out, the sky is blue,
The roof is down on my MR2,
And I\'m grinning, grinning ear to ear!

Local key place cut mine for a fiver each, that was copying of the key i had........cutting of the number tab is more expensive but i would have thought £10 or £12 would do it.

I paid £15 for 2 Ford Tibbe keys which are alot harder to cut........£35 quid is ridiculous for the Toyota.....theres places on ebay will supply and cut for under £15.
