problem with hid's

just installed a mcculloch kit this morning.  

but when i switch on the headlights it does not turn on.  but wheni switch it to high beam it does turn on.  

my hid kit does not have the high beam function.

anyway i can cut some wire and crap to make this work normally?

try wiring the kit to the dipped beam rather than the high beam?

The 'normal' headlights - the part that is not high (main) beam.
