Hi folks!

I ordered myself an O2 sensor socket last week (see this thread!) which arrived last Friday.

So I thought I'd whip out my O2 sensors and check out my pre-cats (I also painted the heat shield while I was at it! - great guide Mark!) as I was travelling in the '2 to Stevenage on Saturday to stay with some mates who are at uni ('twas a great weekend - still feel a bit rough today   s:oops:  s:oops:    s:lol:  s:lol:  )

Any way, I digress! Thankfully (touch wood) the pre-cats looked to be tip-top, but I noticed that the O2 sensor where a bit pink in colour - not the usual white   s:? :? s:?

I remember reading in a thread (see here) that Liz's O2 sensors were pink and that this may mean that they're toast  s:shock:  s:shock:

So my question is; can anyone confirm what having pink O2 sensors means?

Should I clean them? - If so, what with? I have some Wynn's carb cleaner that I used to clean my MAF sensor with - I think it said on the back of the can that it was "suitable to use on O2 sensors" - so is this stuff okay to use?

The car seems to be a-symptomatic (well from what I can tell  s:roll:  s:roll:    s:lol:  s:lol:  ).

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!  s8) 8) s8)

Well what did you think I was talking about!   s:oops:  s:oops:    s:lol:  s:lol:

I just thought - Should I clean all 3 O2 sensors - so I don't banjax the readings the ECU uses to correctly fuel the car?

I think I may have noticed the third O2 sensor when I painted the manifold heat shield / checked the pre-cats; - is it at the back n/s corner of the engine bay, just after the main cat?
