It already fitted mate   s:D :D s:D

In the pics above. Solenoid is screwed next to the alarm switch in engine bay, and the control on the dash. Ran everything down the drivers side. With the brain box hid behind the drives side bin. The cables were literally just long enough to reach everywhere

What's the running total of secondhand prices for all your electronics Lee? Thought about a stand alone? I've got a Syvecs in my 200sx, was about £2200 fitted and mapped but I'm sure there are cheaper options, and the big benefit is all those functions are tied together.

Cat looks great, it's been a while since I checked in on the forum and these wheels look absolutely spot on - I think you were dabbling with 18s before but these look just right!

Sorry mate, didn't see this.

Electrics stand me at
Ecu 450
Traction 575
Boost controller 285

I will go standalone eventually, probably link or aem but I don't think any standalone will match the racelogic for traction control.. that is one special piece of kit

Sounds good, at least there's a bit of budget to be freed up from the piggyback units if you go down that route!

Can't remember if this has been mentioned before, but you don't appear to have any additional bracing?

I'd highly recommend a front strut and mid under one.... Would be nice to put something in the engine bay...?

Leethesparky

#836
Yeah i really need to start things like bracing and polybushing.
Struggling with the engine bay though, all the braces go across the turbo and it sits high.

I wouldn't bother with the rear. Just get one up front and get a breast plate. Wouldn't hurry to polybush either if your bushes are ok.

Well I dunno about not rushing  :-) :-) :-)  In the very least I'd have a good look at them to see what the state them is.. my 16 year old car was transformed when I had it fully bushed... and there were some bushes by the hub that literally fell out out they were so bad.

I agree with the rear strut brace - if you're happy with stock then stick with it. But front and mid under will make a HUGE difference.

Lol! That's a good point John.  I would imagine and hope that with the amount of times the car has been apart Lee would know the condition, but always good to check.

On mine 108k the bushes are all good. The only slightly dodgy one is driver side rear. But it's got minimal play.

It is something I really need to look at. I get a slight twist at the back end under hard acceleration. I'd expect it to dig in but not twist.

I used to have traction/wheel spin prior to getting rear bushes done.... I'd really recommend doing it on any car over 100k/ 10 years old....

I have started a YouTube channel for this car.

First couple of videos are a bit crappy but hopefully will get better with practice.

Ive been trying not to spend too much money on the car this year but got loads of plans in the future

All my work has always been and always will be mirrored on here. I look forward to adding loads to this thread in the future.

Well done for having a go fella.

Couple of small comments...
Be aware of repeating yourself overly. I think it's just 'self-conscious in front of a camera nerves' in fairness.

Also, where you do say thay yours is different to stock, it might be worth sticking in a stock photo to back up your words.

Like I said though, good effort.   :-) :-) :-)

Nice one Lee! What equipment are you using? I noticed that you had a clip on mic, the sound quality was very good.

and AGAIN - are you coming to Ding Day??  :-) :-) :-)

Cheers,

It is actually really stressful in front of the camera... for some wierd reason it brings out my northern accent   s:? :? s:?

Hopefully get better with practice

Equipment is a massive rucksack of stuff, might do a video on it eventually don't want to just stick to my car.
Sound is from a zoom h1 with a lav mic plugged in. Sounds really good.
Cameras are
Olympus em10, 20mm f1.7. 45mm f1.8
Gopro 4 black
Dji mavic
And Samsung galaxy s6 phone

Ding day is a possibility but can't promise yet, if it was 2 weeks later it would be a definite. Would really like to come but may clash with taking the missus to the airport.

The stress will lessen over time. Be clear about what you want to say in each segment. Then you'll have less to remember, which will reduce your stress.  :-) :-) :-)

You can break it down further and know what each segment will contain and look like. Then you'll know on the playback if it matches your expectation.

Keep going though, you'll figure it out.  :-) :-) :-)
