Just thought I would brighten up the engine bay lid!  s:) :) s:)

Looks good -  any night time shots? - please tell us how.

Cheers. No lights just sprayed the lid red.

That is a shame. The photo does suggest it's back-lit. A couple of strips of red LEDs linked to the tail lights would look great. Or is that just me?

That's something to think about though Gazza

Yeah - I had a look earlier at the possibility. Two strips inboard of the inner edge of the vents cable tied to lengths of  pvc coated metal strapping would do it. The strapping would be hidden and sandwiched between the engine cover and under tray using the existing bolts. Legal too.

Just installed the LED lights. Two 35mm strips of red placed inside some tubing and cable tied to the central spar. It seemed the simplest method of holding them in place. The wiring follows the third brake light conduit and through the inner-wing to the loom for the offside rear light.

Two shots showing the final effect. Should produce a faint glow to following vehicles in the dark.

You could get a Good Samaritan calling the fire brigade thinking your car is on fire!!!

Looks really cool though, in a red hot type of way!
