Welcome to the land of permanent grins..............

Just take care, he might not be terribly powerful, but he can bite if you dont treat him gently, especially in the wet.

Not saying be scared of him, but be gentle.......

First and foremost though, just ENJOY!

Hey, another Essex girl!!  Nice one- glad that you got what you wanted in the end - just to reiterate what has been said above, be very careful in the wet, make sure that it has a decent set of tyres on it, makes the world of difference!  s:) :) s:)
ex-TTE Turbo, now Freelander Sport, its not a car its a Landrover!

Thanks so much for the welcome and I know what you mean about taking it easy in the wet my MX-5 was the same but thanx for the warning!

Can't wait for the weather to clear up a bit and take him for a drive with the top down!!

Congrats, Sarah. Mine's black/red leather, too, but it's a "she." Take your time getting to know the car, and he'll do his best to get you out of whatever trouble you get into.

For a first mod, might I suggest mongo deflectors? Good luck!

Little wind deflectors that insert into the window sill for when the windows are down as well as the top, and you've spent half hour making your hair nice and don't want to mess it all up!   s:lol:  s:lol:    Apparently quite good, I may get some!

My first mod was and A'pexi induction kit (makes car sound mean!)   s:D :D s:D

Congratulations   s:mrgreen:  s:mrgreen:

It's maybe not quite the right time of year to enjoy a soft top to the full; however  i go by the rule of thumb that if there's no precipitation and it's not dark, then the roof must go down!   s:wink:  s:wink:    s:lol:  s:lol:

As Darth Paul said to me - the golden rule of owning a MR2 is to drive it like you stole it!  s:lol:  s:lol:

Unless, as other people have pointed out, it's raining / a bit damp / mildly moist, etc...  s:oops:  s:oops:    s:wink:  s:wink:

Definitely be getting some of those little beauties then, don't wanna be messing up my locks!!   s:wink:  s:wink:

I think my first mod maybe the induction kit too, first thing I suggested to my boyfriend to get for me!! Oh and gotta have some music too, but standard stereo aint bad!!

Can I ask where's the best place to get after market accessories I have tried doing a search but can't seem to fine one.

Thanx

I got my induction kit from TDI in Barking for £135, very good people there.

Speakers from http://www.mobiletoys.co.uk/ I got the Focal Access 6.5inch component speaker like most people.

Cd players, amps etc I got from http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/index.php they're based on Tottenham court road, when buying i'd prefer to get the gear myself to make sure it's not damaged as it's alot of money and some of these shops that advertise in "max Power" are terrible for sending damaged goods!

Exhausts are nice, I have a hayward and scott, but remus make a good one.

Wheels I'm getting from Xtreme in Harlow aswell as Eibach lowering springs, just got to try and knock 'em down on their prices!

Can't think of anything else!

I'll get some deflectors too, then my girlfriend may let me put the roof down more often   s:roll:  s:roll:

Glad you've driven a light RWD car before, but still take care, the MR2's a bit trickier and less forgiving, with the engine in the mid-rear. (no pun there surely!)

Enjoy!
