Have you had to have a 4 wheel alignment carried out after the fitting of the TTE lowering springs. If so, was the cost extra or included in the fitting price?

Whats the best price anyone has had form a Toyota main dealer for the springs and fitting?

Cheers all!!

Ninjinski..

Not sure.  I just asked for parts and fitting, if it's needed i'm sure they will do it though.  Hills are a very good garage.

I got an alignment on a 4 wheel lazer thingy, it was out, it was definitly "in" before because it had just been repaired after a crash a couple of weeks before.

Cost £30 ish took about 10 minutes.  Car tracked to left before, corrected after the alignment.  Also felt a hell of a lot better.

I had the TTE springs fitted today, a nice lower look to the car now.  It cost £308, much cheaper than the Eibach prices I was getting.  Feels even more Go-kart like now, and adds so much more fun to the driving experience!  I can't wait for the TRD braces!

Get the springs!   s:twisted:  s:twisted:

Should be fine, I live in a new house and the road is unfinished and therefore to get onto my drive there is quite a steep short temporary concrete ramp at the moment, I'm glad to say it passed the test!   s:D :D s:D

I had mine done recently and I only get problems over bumps when the car has a passenger and you don't go slow enough  s:shock:  s:shock:  Quick Fix: leave the passenger at home if lots of steep ramps and speed bumps on the planned journey  s:wink:  s:wink:

Quote from: "odub"Cost £30 ish took about 10 minutes.

That must have been just a toe check/adjust; a *full* 4-wheel alignment should take in the region of an hour, if done properly, with a price-tag to match.

Really?  it was a laser allignment and i got a print out off a load of details, toe in camber, all sorts of stuff,

10 mins sounds about right to me, if they don't have to adjust anything...
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Yeah - reckon mine took them about 30 mins or so, including putting the car on the ramps and attaching the laser deflector board dooberry thingies (you know what I mean  s;) ;) s;) )

They had to adjust the front toe only on mine, everything else was within spec, so it only cost me £30 - anything over front toe adjustment and they charge by the hour at my local place (which can get expensive  s:) :) s:) )
