i did a mistake a month ago, and now iam paying the conciquences..

i changed my rear  Bridgestones, standard 15" 205/50/15 to the Pirellis P7000.

The car is behaving funilly, has lost its handling and that go-kart feeling, since in front i do still have the Bridgestones.  I wanna change them to the Pirellis as well now .

The problem is, i cant find in our market the same series of Pirellis, the P7000 for the fronts, unless i go to 195/50/15 or use a different series of Pirellis, the P6000, and get the right 185/55/15.

Do you think it will affect the behavior of my car, if i follow one of the above opions, im a bit scared. I have a bad experience form that, before the Pirellis ive tried a Potenza for the rears, and my car totally lost its balance, it felt like i was driving a boat in a wavy water. Things with the rear Pirellis are a bit better, but nothing close to the car it used to be.

personally I don't feel the P7000 ishalf teh performance tyre of the Potenzas (and I hate teh Potenzas)

the P7000 come as oem equipment on my Omega so enough said.

from those sizes go for teh 195/50/15 many people have run those sizes in S03's without issues and it will at least mean you have the same tyre all round.

However if teh P7000 is as expensive as I think it is, I'd just ditch teh lot and spend £160 on a set of toyos.

I think what markiii meant was to go with the 195/50 for the front. That way you can keep your new ones on the rear and have all four in the sames series (not the same size).

I have 195/50/15 and 205/50/15...I'd say it affected the handling by giving more grip up front, but not too much to make the car oversteer. So I think it changed for the better...

Btw, those P7000's are good enough for drifting, so try to kill them before the spring to get a good excuse to buy new tyres  s;) ;) s;)
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

s:cry:  s:cry:    s:cry:  s:cry:  My 2 is a right handfull since ive put a new set of tyres on the rear, ive been running dunlopsp 01 sport on the front and stock bridgestone on the rear for the last 10,000 miles or so, no problem stuck to the road like glue. The rears were up for changing as they were just about worn out so i thought i would match the rears with the front with a paire of dunlops sp01,
Its not been the same car since, ive done around 1500 mile on them now and the tyre pressures ive try alsorts although that did make it better with the oversteering on the motorway the car seem to wont to steer its self
with the feeling of a strong cross wind were you would fight to keep the car straight acsept there is no wind, the faster you go the worst it gets
on any lane of the m way, the fast lane you would excspect there to be the lest amount of tram lines as lorres dont go out there.
Im not sure were to go from here Do i get the wheel alighment checked or replace the rear tyres again back to bridge stone, it was ok with the dunlops on the front before i dont wont to change all 4 if i dont need to
but idont wont  a car that drives like its on water

sometimes just having new tyres and old tyres can cause issues.

at the risk of sounding like acracked record, proxies front and rear at £160 a set.

can't go wrong
