Right then, the gremlins are invading my car.

I was in town yesterday and i was low on petrol, called into station and put £10 in, the needle didn't move.....weird i thought so i pulled over and left the car turned off for about 30secs.

Started it and the needle still hadn't moved, since i was only about a mile from MrT i decided to go and see if they could sort it, about 500 yards down the road the steering went  extremely heavy (a bit like a go-kart i drove last week). I looked down at the dash and the P/S light was on.

I turned it off and then back on and it was fine, light was off and steering was fine.

MrT said sometimes if you turn the wheel as you are starting the car this can happen but you should feel it straight away, they couldn't read a code as the light had gone out.

What do you think it might be?

No idea, but I've had something similar (mentioned on some other thread). I'm 100% sure I'm not touching the steering or moving the car when I start (hands off the wheel and brakes on). When I back out of the parking space and start driving forward, the P/S dies for a while and comes back when I keep driving, never restarted the car.

Haven't noticed any lights when that happen, but it might've been lit, not really sure. The fluid level is fine, I wonder if I should change it...other than that, can't even guess why and I don't think I'll worry about it before it stays off or dies totally. Worth mentioning that at first it happened maybe once a month, these days couple of times/week, so it seems to be going worse.

If you still have warranty, go nag about it. All the time, until they do something about it, as it seems to get worse over time  s:? :? s:?
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.
