No sound on OEM Stereo, power and Fuses both fine

Hey all
Starting a 5 hour journey back home on Sunday evening my OEM stereo lost power while driving along...longest journey ever. Checked both fuses Radio1 and Radio2 the other night and both are passing current. Popping them back in and the stereo has powered up, lighting and cd eject, all buttons, etc are functional...just no sound??

Anyone had this issue before?? ive searched low and high in the search box to find nothing but the same question unanswered

Help is much appreciated, as a do a fair amount of long drives and cant really afford a new head unit atm...on the plus side it's had me service the car, change an o2 sensor and finally fitting my manifold the weekend... think I'm hoping the car will fix it's own stereo though  s:bowdown: :bowdown: s:bowdown:

Guessing the radio has just packed it in. My radio did much the same about a month after I got the car. Granted it was an aftermarket unit, but same thing.

It's a strange one, all power is fine, just no sound coming through, just have to listen to the cd spin for a month or 2  s:shock: :shock: s:shock:
