Sub box behind seats question

Where are the good points to bolt the box down to?  I'm looking to have two tens and possibly if it'll fit, a set of 6x9's too.  The speakers will be exposed unlike colelys but I imagaine I could use similar mounting points.

If the 6x9's don't fit in the back I'm contemplating making a fiberglass enclosure for them, or some components in the footwell possibly.  Thats only if I get drowned out by bass though!   s:lol: :lol: s:lol:

I it were me putting a pair of 10's in my luggage bay I'd be using the original hard points that held in the plastics:



However, I've spent far to much time, effort and sideways thinking on my install to do anything quite so... well,  daft... Why are you going to sacrifice all your bootspace to a couple of speakers when you already have the finest sub available for this car? You have a nice amp, and a nice set of components, yet you want to pollute and overload your soundstage with a pile of poorly defined bass, and put in 6x9's?
(Little secret: 6x9's, however expensive, are crap, they are a huge compromise in sound quality, and are a long-long way from what would be considered "ideal" in  terms of loudspeaker design and performance.)

Can I ask why? If you're not satisfied with the sound, you should perhaps look at tuning the system a little more, you alpine amp and head unit have massive scope for adjustment if youre willing to spend a couple of hours playing and reading the manuals. Or are you looking for more of a "pavement pleasing" sound system? Fair enough if you are I suppose, not my cup of tea though... I'll let you in on a little known fact though, despite everything you might read in Max Power, high bass outputs DO NOT snap knicker elastic. I'll have more of a play with the amp, the UD sub seems to struggle at times with R&B bassy music.  Perfect for rock though.   s:) s:)  

I don't use the luggage space much, purely because anything I want to put in there won't fit!

I'm not into bashing street pavements.  I'd only fit the speakers for my own listening pleasure.  If I was into all that, I'd go for the 15" sub in the front storage compartment and have big vents in my bonnet!   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

I listened to Coleys sound system at JAE, sounded pretty good to me. It all depends on how you set it up, 10s are not overpowering. 12s are in a small car.  Also if I was to port the boxes that would make a large difference in volume and quality, not nessessarily a good difference! Anyways, it all hinges on what my girlfriend buy me for Xmas.   s:D s:D
