Paint problem?

Hi guys, any help would be good,
Noticed down the drivers side of the car, all along the top of the front and back wing, there is a fading of paint and also it looks like little small dents, all the rest of the car is gleaming, it makes me wonder if someone's put some sort of chemical on it, one of my neighbours has had bonfires and I've had to wash ash of the car a few times?
Any help would be good guys?
Would it be beneficial to use some sort of t cut and if so, what's the best ones

Pictures would really help in this situation. Are you sure there has not been a repair previously?
