Hi all...does anyone out there know of someone who can mod a 2zz wiring loom, I'am retro fitting a 2zz engine /gearbox into a 70's prototype sports coupe, i have everything out of a donor corrola t sport (03 plate) just need someone to mod the loom or a diagram on what to do, and do I need to run the aux air pump ? thanks Gordon

The car sounds interesting. Is it front wheel drive? You can ditch the air pump.

Haha fair enough.
Gordon, I'm going to type something up that Patrick (headcase) had sent me on 2zz wiring, and link to it here later today.
I suggest you get in touch with Patrick for details as well.

Hi Patrick (headcase) Shnazzle has informed me to ask you for some details you sent him on 2zz wiring (if that makes any sense) by the way my car is 1970 using a standard wiring loom of the time so I have a speedo rev counter oil fuel water temp and amp meter in the dash I guess I will need to know earth's live feed's and switched feed's, I will also  need an output for my rev counter, there will be an oil pressure switch and water temp switch on the engine so I guess these tell the ecu what the engine is doing so I will need to add 1 more of each to run my gauges just need to know if this is correct.....thanks for your help   Gordon

I recon you are going to have to run a temp sensor to work your temp gauge correctly and possibly a sandwich plate with a oil sensor on, as the voltages might not be the same as your gauges work at.

That looks like a real interesting project, only one survives?

Shame to loose the Maxi drive train!

yes you will have to put in senser for water, for temp gauge easy one ,oil as dave says a sandwich plate sort that one .
rev counter  need to put in a converter or change rev counter  as it got go to 8,500 now
others are all the same  speedo is it cable .
i think u should  get a jdm ecu for the 2zz then dont have to sort out the coded keys .
once you got in give us a nudge  i pop over for the day

Hi Bernie11a   the car was never put into production as they ran out of money and where trying to do to many things at the time as well as expanding the floor space and work force but not an increase in production so there was not enough money coming in, a bit of a shame but I do have something unique........Gordon
