Newbie - need advice re changing a Sony head unit

Apologies if it's been dealt with 1,000 times before, but I've recently bought a 2000 MR2 for the wife, the CD player is messing around so it's upgrade time.

She wants Bluetooth hands free so I'm thinking of buying this Alpine one:

What do I need to fit it? Someone's told me it's not actually double din, so I need an adaptor - anything else required?

Car is superb by the way, it's got cross bracing already so at least don't need to go there!

Can't give an opinion on that particular head unit but the adaptor you need is available on various sites. Halford do one for nearly 30 quid but all you need really are two filler-in side pieces for a few quid. just google double din adaptor

Thanks! It's possible I might be able to grab one that's coming out of another Mk3, otherwise I'll sort with Halfords.
