The previous owner of my car fitted the Sony stereo below with the DAB aerial on the windscreen.

However I do lose signal alot for short periods, its not the area as the DAB radio in my other car is fine in the same area. I have noticed that the electric aerial on the MR2 does not go up or down. Will this help if working or does all the signal go via the other aerial on the windscreen?

Thanks,

All the dab signal is via the windscreen one, nothing for the rear one, that will be for fm only.

The stick on one works quite well on our car but there are two ways of wiring it - with or without the 12v power connected. Some radios power th exam radio via the main cable but others need the power to be connected.
Worth checking it out.

Other than that check the aerial itself is correctly fitted with the earthing strip properly connected to some bodywork

thanks for the info, ill check the wiring hopefully today. However the aerial is the one below, is that not one cable? If so how will I give it a 12v feed?

I am having the same problem, I am beginning to think I need to run through just one aerial.

It has two wires, one is for the reception and a smaller one for 12v feed, switched from the aerial output of the radio. You can see there are two if you look carefully at the picture

The manual for your head unit will tell you whether or not you need the 12V antenna feed
