Yeah i saw that a few days ago but he says he wants £300+ but no reserve on the auction   s:? :? s:?

Also the torque on the '2 is not massive, i'd only really do it if mine was tubby'd but each to their own  s:) :) s:)

I've been watching this one too...

Bottom end torque does suffer as Mark says, but I have a feeling that at least some of that loss would be made up by installing a Unichip...

I dont think I could live with the noise factor though... I've just taken the precats out of my new car and the droning is really pissing me off... It never sounded like that on the old car, so I was going to put have a good look through the exhaust system and see if there are any mis-aligned mountings anywhere (mis-aligned mountings will prevent tha exahaust from moving around as it should and transmit noise), and failing that, put  the original manifold back in, and just trust lady luck... I have no intention of keeping the car any longer than three years anyway so warranty shouldn't be a problem...

That is until I picked up my 2500 mile old manifold this morning, turned it upside down, and saw hundreds of little white particles of pre-cat fall into the collector pipes... Oh lovely...

Not even a 1/4 of the way to its first scheduled service and already I can see the pre-cat material degrading... Whatthe hell were Toyota playing at?

Looking through the car I can see dozens of small design improvements that Toyota have made, yet they still put these ceramic time bombs in...  s:roll:  s:roll:

Need to stick a reserve on it if £300 is the lowest you'll accept or you risk someone winning it for less.  Auctions are legally binding...

One of the oldest tricks in eBay is to have no reserve, see where the price goes and if you don't like, have a friend or other personal account outbid it  s:? :? s:?

About the 7hp...I suppose it's possible. PPE dynoed +4hp without the cat, but that was with their header though, so can't really compare:

Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

I think it costs more to list an item with a reserve price so Tem has hit the nail on the head with that one, waiting for his alter ego account or a mate to bail him out at the last minute.

Shill bidding aint the most ethincal thing either (and is also naughty)...  Also if they win the auction you're still liable for eBay's final value fees.  Unless you place a none paying bidder report and shaft the shill bidders account that is.

You could cancel everyones bids before the auction ends then pull it stating that the item is no longer for sale.  Alternatively you could just put a reserve on it, that's what they're for.  Yes they cost but that's how eBay make their money.

People bitch about eBays fees constantly yet you work out how much it costs for web hosting and then try to put a value on eBays massive user base (buyers) that you get access to.  Which in itself allows you to get more for your goods.

I didn't know eBay charges other than business sellers. They didn't when I last used it to sell, though it was years ago  s:? :? s:?
(all finnish major online auctions are still free for personal users, apparently advertising and business users cover the expenses)

This item is no longer for sale, I have just checked on eBay and the seller has withdrawn stating "the seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing".
