Calling all MR2 detailers I need some advice!!

My '2' didn't come with a 'Roadster' badge but in its place is a TRD badge which is a bit worn and obviously not standard. I have sourced a chrome Roadster badge but have a dilemma on how to attach it to the car.

I know that some detailers remove badges and then reattach them but I'm wondering with what?

I'm guessing double sided tape? But this I presume will never be like the 'shaped' sponge tape on the badge.

So how do you cut it to size or to shape or do you just add a few squares of tape...or should I just do the unthinkable and superglue it to the car?

I used this.  Four years later it's still on there.

Believe it or not I actually have some of that tape that I bought to stick my LED's to the back of the TV.

Now how should I go about cutting it to size or does it not really matter??

I stuck it to the back of the badge and use a brand new craft knife to trim to size.

I understand...should I wait for warmer weather to give the adhesive a chance or will just running the 2 for a bit be enough to warm things up?

Lol...I'll need to borrow the other half's hairdryer...it's all in a good cause...but I doubt I'll tell her. [emoji6]
