According to Monkeywrench Racing you would be better off with the stage 2, the stage 1 is specifically designed for standard engines with the standard ECU. Plenty of reports on Spyderchat say these cams do add some power, whether it's worth £500 is up to you?
Silver 2004 MR2 -  Unmodified but very shiny.

They certainly didn't work with the PPE exhaust manifold.

Bernie is running stg1 cams with standalone ecu, cone intake, zero mani and 200 cell cat. Runs a dream apparently. 171 claimed hp. I'd be happy going stg1 with those numbers.
...neutiquam erro.

Not "claimed" have dyno to substantiate  :-) :-) :-)  !

I have a similar setup with Apexi PFC management, and tried with a PPE manifold and sports cat midpipe, and as with Chris, it wasn't at all good with the ppe exhaust components on mine. Now, with a Che manifold and decat midpipe, much better.

Funny. What makes the PPE so incompatible with the stg1? Is it the long equal runners and relatively thin pipes? Vs the wider and shorter Zero

Bernie; I always pre-empt dyno results with "claimed". The peak figures mean very little to me. Only the delta between pre and post tune/mods on the same day or very similar conditions  s:) :) s:)

Given that the PPE is very specifically designed to optimise the top end, it probably runs less than optimal once the cam duration is changed.

Never measured 0 -60 times but it goes well  :-) :-) :-)  after 3,000 rpm just pulls hard right up to the rev limiter and as mines FL has stock 6 speed box, also TRD short shifter, Speedsource brass cable / gearbox link connection and Wildermullers Bigfoot cage mounts, since I purchased have also added Fidanza lightweight flywheel which helps with initial pick up
